I’ve always believed that healing begins with connection. When we are connected—to others, to support, and to ourselves—we are less likely to face life’s biggest challenges alone. My passion for this work grew from years of serving the community and seeing firsthand that when people are connected to the right resources and support, they don’t just survive—they thrive.

I was born and raised right here in North Carolina, and my work has always been rooted in community. After graduating from UNCG and NCA&T, I spent two years as an Intensive In-Home therapist, followed by work in community health clinics. These experiences shaped my approach to therapy: I don’t believe anyone heals in isolation. I am here to be part of your “village” and your support team.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, and the desire for deeper connection.

Working with me often feels like talking with a wise, trusted friend—someone who is deeply invested, genuinely cares, and creates a space that is safe, warm, and welcoming. Together, we focus on helping you reconnect with yourself, your values, and the supports that help you move forward with confidence.

Children & Parents: Supporting families through the unique “growing pains” of childhood and adolescence.

Anxiety & Depression: Using evidence-based tools to help you regain stability when life feels heavy.

Life Transitions: Walking with you through the messy “in-between” seasons with compassion and a plan.

Spiritual Integration: When requested, integrating faith into the healing process in a respectful, client-centered way.

When I’m not in the therapist chair, I’m focused on my own “connections.” You can usually find me

  • In the Community: Connecting with my faith community and spending quality time with my family.
  • Recharging: I’m a fan of the simple things—building a complex Lego set or binge-watching a great TV show.
  • Local Roots: As an NC native, I love serving the people of this state and helping our neighbors grow hearts and minds.

With over ten years of experience as a clinical therapist, I believe therapy is a unique privilege—the privilege of walking alongside others as they find the strength to tell and reshape their own stories. I am Christi Conley, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Associate (LCAS-A).

I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating addiction recovery, emotional distress, and life transitions.

My professional journey has included work in residential addiction treatment, community mental health, and faith-based organizations. These diverse settings shaped my belief that while challenges such as addiction, trauma, and mood disorders can feel heavy, they do not have to be carried alone. I collaborate with clients in a safe, supportive space to develop practical tools, healthier coping skills, and meaningful paths forward.

I take a systemic approach, meaning I look at the “whole picture” of your life and relationships. I integrate proven tools to help you manage intense emotions and improve communication, including:

  • Cognitive & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CBT/DBT)
  • Emotion-Focused & Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Addiction Recovery & Compulsive Behaviors
  • Spiritual Integration: For those who request it, I offer Christian Counseling to integrate faith into the healing process.

Christi’s approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based care. She values creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel supported as they navigate challenges related to addiction, emotional distress, and life transitions. Christi works alongside clients to build practical tools, strengthen coping skills, and foster meaningful, sustainable change.
